PRESENT: Councillor P. Palmer (Chair), Councillor S. Forrest, Councillor W. Gaffney, and Councillor I. Longbottom.

ALSO PRESENT: Councillor A. Smith, Executive Manager Environmental Services, Manager Development Assessment and Office Manager Corporate Services.

APOLOGIES

An apology was received from Councillor Brooks-Horn.

 

RESOLVED on the motion of Councillors Palmer and Forrest that the apology be accepted and leave of absence be granted.

 

For the Motion were Councillors Forrest, Gaffney, Longbottom and Palmer (Total 4).

CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES OF Planning and Building 15 MARCH 2010

 

DECISION UNDER DELEGATED AUTHORITY:

RESOLVED on the motion of Councillors Longbottom and Forrest that the minutes of the Planning and Building held on the 15 March 2010 be received and confirmed.

 

For the Motion were Councillors Forrest, Gaffney, Longbottom and Palmer (Total 4).

Against the Motion was Nil (Total 0).

Environmental Services Division Report No. 210

SUBJECT: 237 Longueville Road, Lane Cove

 

DECISION UNDER DELEGATED AUTHORITY:

 

RESOLVED on the motion of Councillors Palmer and Gaffney that:-

 

  1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 96 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Council approve the modification to DA 09/192 granted on 17 December 2009 for the installation of signage on lot 12 DP 555414 and known as 237 Longueville Road, Lane Cove in the following manner:-

a)            Condition 2(b) be deleted and the following condition inserted:

2(b) Sign 2 is to be located on the splay corner fence at the intersection of River Road West and Longueville Road.  The sign is to have maximum dimensions of 1800mm (length) x 500mm (height);

 

b)            Condition 2(c) be deleted and the following condition inserted:

2(c)  Sign 3 is to be relocated to the south eastern side of the pedestrian gate to the property and located above the fence to a maximum overall height of 2m.  The sign is to have maximum dimensions of 1200mm (length) x 800mm (depth); and

 

  1. In approving this application for signage, Council acknowledges the unique corner location of this site and its proximity to the Northwood shopping precinct, service stations, busy roads and other non residential uses.

 

For the Motion were Councillors Forrest, Gaffney, Longbottom and Palmer (Total 4).

Against the Motion was Nil (Total 0).
