RESOLVED on the motion of Councillors
Palmer and Smith that Standing Orders be suspended
and that members of the public who wish to address Council be allowed to do
so for a maximum of three minutes.

PUBLIC FORUM
Margaret Radford – 26 Huxtable Ave Lane Cove
North – raised questions regarding the delay in the proposed traffic light
installation at Mowbray Rd, Beaconsfield Rd, and Ralston St and advised of
damage caused by recent storm in Huxtable Ave, suggesting drainage in the area
be assessed.
Ken Ebeling – 24 River Rd West Lane Cove –
expressed concern at the proposal for a pool to be constructed at 26 River Rd W est, specifically in the stability it may cause due to the cave formation under
the property.
Ron Gornall – Mafeking Ave Lane Cove –
expressed concern regarding dog walking in public areas and requested signage
for bushland reserves.
Deborah Hill – Chamber of Commerce Lane
Cove –expressed concern at the proposed car parking charges in the Lane Cove Market Square carpark and requested 3 hours free parking.

SUBJECT: Lane Cove Anzac Day Service

MOTION
A motion was moved by Councillors
Longbottom and Bennison that the Lane Cove ANZAC Day
service in future be held at the Cenotaph, either beside the Lane Cove
Library or in the Plaza, and not in the Cove Room. If there is a need for a
change in venue then the Council and the RSL Sub-Branch be consulted
regarding the change.

RESOLVED on the motion of Councillors
Smith and Mcilroy that Council:-
1. Write
to Connector Motorways regarding the removal of the air quality monitoring
stations and rehabilitation of the two sites in the Lane Cove Municipality as per the lease agreement.
2. Thank
Dr Kearney for his assistance and expert advice regarding the air quality
monitoring stations and his persistent efforts in seeking the filtration of
the Lane Cove Tunnel.

Smith and Mcilroy that:-
1. Council
adopt for the purpose of public exhibition, the Draft Budget for the year to
30 June 2010 to 2013, Draft Management Plan for 2010 to 2013 and Draft Fees
and Charges 2010/11;
2. Council
proceed to public exhibition as per the consultation strategy outlined in the
report; and
3. Following
public exhibition, the Draft Management Plan, Draft Budget and Draft Fees and
Charges together with any submissions received, be considered at the Council
meeting to be held on 21 June 2010.

the NSW Legislative Assembly's Standing Committee on Public Works inquiry
into the effect of graffiti on public infrastructure.

proceed with undertaking a strategic review of the Country Club facility,
other nearby community facilities, and the golf course to identify
opportunities to provide a more viable sporting/cultural type
development than what currently exists.
3. Staff
report back to Council with the outcome of the strategic review.
