Councillors met on site at 9am.

Items 1 and 2 – 23 and 23A Glenview Street, Greenwich

Only 23 Glenview was accessable for the site inspection. Nevertheless the Architect acting for both properties provided an overview of his applicants proposal and answered the questions of Councillors and objectors adjoining both properties.

Issues of concern raised centred around the following:

23A Glenview – owner of 25 Glenview Street remains concerned that the proposed addition toward the rear would adversely impact on their winter solar access along the northern side of their dwelling. The owners also expressed the view that while the proposal met the Codes it remained unreasonable.

23 Glenview – owners of 21 Glenview Street expressed concern that adjoining vegetation was only partly satisfactory and that provided their city views and privacy were maintained, they were largely satisfied. They also requested that an adjoining glass panel remain fixed and all glass louvers be of obscure or translucent glass.

Councillors requested that the last submitted shadow diagrams be reviewed and an appropriate comment be provided for the Council. Such information will be tabled at the meeting.

The Mayor thanked all in attendance and the Inspection Committee closed at 10am.
